Osaka Heavy Ion Therapy Center
As Japan’s first privately led heavy-ion cancer treatment facility, the Osaka Heavy Ion Therapy Center opened in 2018 and has treated 4,198 patients by March 2024. Heavy-ion therapy offers superior radiation dose distribution compared to conventional X-rays or proton therapy, minimizing damage to healthy tissues and improving patients' quality of life.
Since being selected by the Osaka Prefectural Hospital Organization in 2013 as a private operator for the center, SHIP HEALTHCARE Group has developed deep expertise in establishing and operating heavy-ion cancer treatment facilities. The Group will continue to support advanced cancer treatment, contributing to the Well-Being of patients battling cancer.
