Osaka Heavy Ion Therapy Center
In collaboration with the adjacent Osaka International Cancer Institute, the group’s construction of the cutting-edge cancer therapy facility—'Osaka Heavy Ion Therapy center'—is proceeding smoothly. Here, cancer cells will be irradiated at a pinpoint using a heavy ion beam. Development of the operational structure of the center is also proceeding steadily. This facility is the sixth of its kind within Japan and the first privately owned and privately operated heavy ion cancer therapy facility.
