SHIP Healthcare group’s Business

The businesses of the SHIP Healthcare group are based on partnerships with medical institutions in the five fields of Medicine, Health, Welfare, Nursing care, and Services.

With an eye on current circumstances, as Japan heads toward an increasingly elderly population, the Group was founded in 1992 as an enterprise specializing in the five fields of Medicine, Health, Welfare, Nursing care, and Services. Since then, fundamental reforms have advanced in medical and nursing care systems, and the related industries have experienced dramatic transformation. These changes have compelled medical institutions to undergo comprehensive reforms based on a management perspective. Growing attention has focused on businesses that support hospital management in ways suited to the future business environment, including the need to rebuild or renovate numerous hospitals. In addition, there are strong societal demands for the evolution of health and nursing care services to forms easier to use for consumers in a rapidly aging society.

In responding in good faith to these conditions in markets and society, we in the SHIP Healthcare group regard our relationship with medical institutions as important collaborative partnerships, not simply a relationship between a business and its customers. We have built a unique business model with this philosophy positioned at its core. Today, we provide one-stop solutions for medical institutions centered on our five core businesses: the Total Pack Produce Business (TPP), the Medical Supply Business (MSP), the Lifecare Business (LC), the Dispensing Pharmacy Business (PH), and the Healthcare Service Business (HC).
