SHIP HEALTHCARE Group is leveraging its expertise in total pack production to address challenges in international healthcare settings.

In 2022, the SHIP International Hospital (SIH) opened in Dhaka, Bangladesh, marking the Group’s first venture into overseas hospital operations. In Bangladesh, where rapid economic growth has led to a surge in non-communicable diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory illnesses, and diabetes—responsible for 70% of deaths—the SIH focuses on vascular diseases, perinatal care, and acute trauma. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and technologies, SIH offers 16 medical departments, including internal medicine, surgery, emergency care, and obstetrics, providing vital support to local healthcare.

As improving healthcare services is a key policy for the Bangladeshi government and a priority for Japan’s international healthcare initiatives, SHIP HEALTHCARE collaborates with local partners and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in a joint venture to operate SIH. Through this initiative, SHIP HEALTHCARE Group remains committed to enhancing health outcomes for the people of Bangladesh.
